Ethics Council
The Ethics Council of the Alcoholic Beverage Industry in Quebec is an independent body responsible for overseeing the application of the Code of Ethics adopted by industry members. Members of the public may file complaints with the Ethics Council, as well as notify it of positive initiatives and best practices by industry members in the exercise of their social responsibility.
A constructive approach
The Ethics Council of the Alcoholic Beverage Industry in Quebec does not assume the role of censor. It has deliberately adopted an educational approach whereby individuals or organizations named in a complaint are not “charged” with an offence, but rather encouraged to reflect on their commercial practices. The Council supports and contributes to that process of reflection.
